Farming for kids and animal lovers - farm experiences at Hallston Valley Farm

Want to pat a goat, scratch a calf, cuddle a lamb, walk an alpaca or ride your first pony? We often have young stock from early spring which makes for a great family day out. Our animals are general tame and friendly – especially our goats and alpacas! We use best practice and yard wean our calves at about six months of age when they look like fluffy teddy bears. Stay for supper and get to toast some marshmallows on the bonfires we have from May to August. Best thing for parents will be the peace on the way home – Gippsland air will make them sleep like babies.

What to bring/wear:

Your camera
Long pants and boots – we have the usual mix of outdoor nasties
Water
Something to bribe the kids to leave
